NISHI-PADMA

Nilesh...

Night has sleep covering with a thin shawl of dew
And the stray dogs are watching on neon light;
Breathless Padma shivering with cold and fear
The sixty-year-old watchman whistled on whole night.

Padma feared due to her near future delivery
And sometime cheered, when she thought about her baby;
When everything is in deep sleep she was not so easy
But faith of scattering moon light by Angels fell on her body.

Night has come and night has gone, all are not same
Every night is neither painful nor happy as she feels so;
She has seen delivery, abortion, operation and surgery
But never feel heartily what she has feeling now also.

Next day:-

The twentieth February neither so hot nor so cool
Ward no twenty, the emergency ward of hospital;
When all are busy at 2 p.m., she was feeling easy more all
Padma gave birth to her baby and all are looking cheerful.

The new born baby Nishipadma broke the silence of hospital
When Padma kiss him (baby), Angels poured the pleasure of rainwater;
And there was a phone call, when she attend it
None was there except baby’s father, whom she was searching in her tear.

We are always saying “Man proposes and God disposes”
But it is true “God sees the truth but waits”;
Though we are sure ripen fruits are more tasty than raw
Who are we willing to go against God’s good wishes?
